Pre Conference WorkshopsWednesday 25th June 2008 8.30am - 4.30pm We are offering 3 pre conference workshops at this year's forum. Seats are limited so we would encourage delegates to book early to secure their place. Our workshops are as follows:
Root Cause Analysiswith Bernie PiovesanRoot Cause Analysis (RCA) is a powerful productivity improvement tool supported by easy to use software. It teaches effective problem definition, data gathering, data analysis and how to find creative and constructive solutions that work. The technique can be used to solve one-off problems or to improve existing conditions. RCA promotes a culture of continuous improvement and enhances teamwork and team effectiveness. Practical, hands-on exercises allow participants to apply the newly learned techniques to some of their own problems. The course includes a comprehensive workbook and pocket size reference card.
Maintenance Planning and Schedulingwith Doc PalmerMaintenance Planning and Scheduling should dramatically improve the productivity of maintenance in organisations. Doc Palmer reviews the fundamentals and leads class exercises to illustrate the principles and techniques to achieve success. This workshop not only covers the theory and vision but the nuts and bolts of how planning and scheduling work. Participants will learn about effective planning and scheduling, proactive versus reactive work, control of planning and indicators to name but a few aspects of the course outline. Participants will be provided with a copy of the handbook 'Maintenance Planning and Scheduling' by Doc Palmer
PM Optimisation and Reliability Assurancewith Steve TurnerThis workshop will emphasise the PM Optimisation methodology which is an RCM based approach to maintenance analysis designed for existing plant or new plant that has vendor generated maintenance programs.
